While the Lakota and other tribes may not have had as many Signs as the Cheyenne did they had at least enough to communicate with other tribes they came across! War of any sort is something that it is better to avoid and communicating with others often helps avoid it! I will say that this a better read than normal Deaf Sign . I have compared them(recently).
